In essence, we are a group of companies with high volume production capabilities. We produce to customer specification and requirement. Products range from safety critical automotive components, petrochemical, furniture, mining and electrical switchgear parts, as well as deep drawn components. We have a proven track-record to manufacture industrial locks and conveyer chains for various industries.
Products are manufactured for the local as well as the export market. We take pride in developing ideas and products of customers to ensure efficient manufacturability.
Fineblanking
The fine blanking process differs from conventional (eccentric) blanking in that it uses a Triple-Action Force to ‘cut’ the component out of the material as opposed to ‘pushing’ it out as is the case with conventional/eccentric blanking operation.
The advantage of the fine blanking process is that a greater degree of flatness may be maintained across the overall surface of the blanked component, a 100% smooth clean-cut edge can be achieved, thus eliminating the need for secondary processes.
We, at present, have eight fine blanking presses ranging from 63 Tons to 400 Tons, & have the capacity to blank materials from 0.5 to 16mm, ranging from Carbon Steel and Alloys (Aluminium, Brass and Copper) right through the spectrum up to & including Stainless Steel.

Tool Design & Manufacturing
Being in a ‘niche’ market industry with specialized tooling requirements, Fine Blanking (PTY) Ltd. always had its own Tool Room and Tool Design Facility. We employ a highly trained Tool Room Staff, equipped with the necessary equipment & know-how in order to produce high-accurate tooling in the shortest time possible, without compromising the integrity of the end product resulting in minimized downtimes & maximized output based on our ‘Zero-PPM’ objective.
In addition our Tool Room has capacity and expertise to build tooling for other industries, which has been very successful in the past.
Vibrating Services
The group provides in-house vibrating services, this process can facilitate polishing, cleaning & de-burring of components, as well as a treatment to minimise oxidation & pro-longed shelf-life.
There are numerous Vibrating Machines, Barrel Tumblers & a Dryer in this department, with an effective capacity of 8-10 tons daily. We are constantly monitoring and improving our method for maximum process capability. We have now also extended this service to other engineering industries.
Welding Facility
The group has increased its welding capability to include Robotic and Manual MIG welding as well as projection and spot welding up to 450Kva. These facilities are used for the manufacturing of conveyer chains, truck loading equipment, armoured vehicles, cooking systems, & weld nuts etc. in various material grades.
